Arnett Entries No Strangers To Winning
67th Kendall Arnett Tips Off Next Monday
Winning tournaments hasn’t been a problem for the majority of the entries in next week’s 67th Kendall Arnett Basketball Tournament set for Placer High.
When Placer coach Mark Lee unveiled the brackets for this year’s tournament on Monday, no fewer than six of the eight entries have already bagged tournament titles this month.
Host Placer and Bear River have each bagged two tourney crowns apiece with the Hillmen bringing home titles from Antelope and Sparks while the Bruins finished first at both South Tahoe and Marysville.
In addition, Colfax won last weekend’s Rosemont Roundup while Nevada Union, which has won seven of its last eight games, copped the Les Curry title in Davis.
San Juan and Del Oro haven’t been left out either with the Spartans sweeping to the Victory Christian championship and the Golden Eagles winning their own tourney two weeks ago.
The tournament’ s econd round games are set for Tuesday, Dec. 29 while the trophy round games are Wed. Dec. 30.
Here are the first round Arnett tournament pairings:
Monday, Dec. 28 Upper Bracket 3:30 p.m. – Bear River (7-2) vs. San Juan (7-2) 8:00 – Placer (7-4) vs. Mira Loma (6-5)
Lower Bracket 5:00 – Nevada Union (7-3) vs. Del Campo (4-5) 6:30 - Colfax (9-2) vs. Del Oro (5-2)

well they would have to play Del Oro at some point. They are loaded and will definitely be in the championship game. Colfax will lose by 20...

Colfax will beat DO no doubt their last meeting resulted in a spanking from colfax. But if DO gets their star top 20 rated player back then that is a different story. I see Colfax with a real chance at winning the Kendall for the first time. My money is on colfax all the way!
