On December 13th, the Placer County Board of Supervisors approved moving forward with the much anticipated new animal shelter in Auburn. Congratulations to everyone who has supported our quest for the new Auburn animal shelter. It was unanimously approved to move forward with Phase I of the development of the new animals shelter. Thank you to everyone who wrote letters, showed up at the meeting and sent good wishes - it worked. Let’s make this the first step in reshaping how our community views the care and importance of our beloved pets and in helping our citizens with their animals. With this new animal shelter, there is so much opportunity ahead for us. Many thanks to the Placer County Board of Supervisors and the executive office for their support and approval.
