Martha Garcia, editor

Martha Garcia's career in journalism began at the Colfax Record while attending college and has continued to her present position as editor of the Loomis News. When the Loomis News was acquired by Placer Community Newspapers/Gold Country Media in 2004, she joined the team as office manager and staff writer. Martha was raised in Colfax, is a longtime resident of Auburn and is involved with many organizations in the Loomis Basin. Her art collection includes works by many contemporary Northern California artists, and she has a newfound appreciation of cowboy poetry.
